Blu's Womens Wear shows off new White Space
Blu's White Space
Sleek, sophisticated, and elegant are words that describe the new look of Blu’s Womens Wear in Bankers Hall. Glossy, white display cases and tile showcase the new fall lines at the Alberta-based retailer.
A jazz band was on hand to celebrate the new re-vamp, as were cocktails for those who like a martini while they shop.
But it was the fall collections that truly took centre stage. The designs are rich – cashmere, knitwear, leather and silk– and emote an opulence that is understated but luxe. The combination of workwear and evening pieces make it easy for someone to revamp their fall wardrobe.
New to the store is the exclusive brand, Jaeger out of London. The luxury British fashion house, established in 1884, is known for its exquisite cuts and use of luxury fabrics. Blu’s will be the only store in the city carrying the brand. Other brands at the store include Michael Kors, Judith & Charles and Eileen Fisher.
Fashion buyer for the store, Jennifer Leavitt says she is excited with the trends for the fall. She says to watch for a fuller leg pant (i.e. ditch the skinny,) wine coloured accents and gorgeous knitwear. She also says the selection of outerwear is fantastic.
“This is the best season I’ve seen for coats,” she says.
For a coat that will cause heads to turn, check out the Hugo Boss Woman black cashmere coat with gold accents.
Blu’s is located on the third floor of Bankers Hall. For more information, go to blus.com .
